Yesterday I had no idea what the German Kriegsmarine coastal artillery uniform looked like, or that it even existed, today – I’m sewing tress to the collar of one!
Oh, and apparently a ‘tress’ signifies the rank of senior corporal or sergeant.  There you go! Who said I can only sew silk?! ;-) Have sewing machine, will sew…. I only hope I have not demoted or promoted my friend in the way I have sewn on the tress. Apparently such things are quite important ..
